The ATM Star in ATM10: What It Takes to Craft One
The ATM Star is the endgame trophy of All The Mods 10: one item whose crafting tree reaches into the deepest tier of nearly every major mod in the pack. Nobody crafts it by accident. This guide explains what the star actually demands, the order to attack it in, and the mistakes that cost people weeks.
What the ATM Star is
Every All The Mods pack ends with the same dare: craft the ATM Star. The recipe is deliberately absurd, combining endgame outputs from the pack's tech mods, magic mods and the Allthemodium metal family in quantities no sane person gathers by hand. It exists to make you engage with everything the pack contains, and finishing one is the accepted definition of beating the pack.
The component categories
Rather than memorising a parts list, think of the star as a set of categories, each of which forces one mod to its endgame:
- Allthemodium-family alloys and blocks in bulk, which means serious mining and ore automation
- Deep tech outputs, like Mekanism's late-tier materials that demand a full processing chain
- Magic mod endgame items from ritual and summoning content such as Occultism
- Boss and dimension drops, from fights and places the pack expects you to have conquered
- Sheer bulk crafting: intermediate components in the thousands once the tree is expanded
Open the star in JEI, expand the tree a few levels, and audit which categories you have already industrialised. The gaps in that audit are your to-do list.
Why automation is mandatory
The star's quantities are balanced against autocrafting, not hand crafting. A digital storage network with crafting integration is the real prerequisite: you queue a component, the system decomposes it into thousands of intermediate steps, and your machines grind it out while you do something else. Without that, the star is not hard, it is just miserable.
- Storage system with autocrafting and enough crafting CPUs to run big jobs
- Passive farms for every recurring input: mob drops, essences, gems, metals
- Power generation with headroom; star crafting runs happily eat industrial power
- Buffer stock of common intermediates so big jobs do not stall mid-tree
A sensible order of attack
- Finish the Allthemodium arc first: full alloy access unblocks tools, armor and several component lines at once
- Industrialise one tech mod to its final tier before spreading to the others
- Run the magic mods' quest chapters next; their endgame items have long lead times but low ongoing cost
- Clear the boss and dimension content while your farms accumulate bulk materials
- Save the pure bulk-crafting components for last, when your autocrafting is strongest
The common mistake is attacking components in JEI order instead of dependency order. Sort by what unlocks other lines, not by what appears first in the recipe.
How long it really takes
For a first playthrough with decent automation habits, the star is typically a many-weeks project in evening sessions rather than a weekend one. Veterans with a routine can compress it a lot, but if the pack is new to you, plan for the long game and enjoy it: the star run is where ATM10's design actually pays off.
Star runs on SiriusMC
Chasing the star on our ATM10 server changes the maths in your favour. The economy and player shops let you buy around resource walls other players have already automated, claims keep a months-long factory project safe, and a star completion is a public event in chat rather than a private checkbox. The quest book tracks your progress; the community supplies the motivation.
