ATM10 Progression Guide: To the ATM Star
All The Mods 10 bundles hundreds of mods into one pack, which is exactly why new players freeze up: everything is possible and nothing is obvious. The good news is that ATM10 progression follows a clear arc no matter which mods you favour. This guide walks the whole arc, stage by stage, by the capability each stage unlocks rather than exact items, so it stays useful across pack updates.
Stage 0: Survive like it is vanilla
Your first hours are vanilla with extras. Get food, tools, a bed and a safe base before touching machines. On a server, claim your land immediately so nothing you build is at risk, and use the quest book from the start: it is the pack's built-in tutorial and rewards you for things you were going to do anyway.
- Claim your base before you build anything you care about
- Open the quest book early and skim the chapter list to see the pack's shape
- Set up a farm; hunger management wastes time you want for machines
- Pick a base location with space: ATM10 bases sprawl fast
Stage 1: First machines and ore doubling
The first real milestone in any ATM pack is ore processing. Pick one tech mod as your backbone rather than dabbling in all of them: Mekanism is the classic choice for its clean upgrade path, and Create is the fun choice if you prefer visible, mechanical contraptions. Whichever you choose, the goal is the same: stop smelting raw ore one-for-one and start multiplying your ingots.
Alongside ore processing, get basic power generation running and learn the pack's storage reality: chests stop scaling almost immediately. An early storage mod setup, even a small one, pays for itself within a session.
Stage 2: The Allthemodium wall
ATM10's signature gate is the Allthemodium metal family: Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium. The first Allthemodium you mine is the moment the mid-game opens, because the alloys made from these metals gate the pack's best tools, armor and machine tiers. Where to find each metal, and how to mine them efficiently, is covered in our dedicated Allthemodium ore guide.
Stage 3: Real automation
Mid-game ATM10 is about removing yourself from every loop. Anything you have crafted three times should be automated: ore processing chains, mob farms for drops and essence, and crop farms via Mystical Agriculture, which converts farming into a source of nearly any resource in the pack.
- Upgrade to a proper digital storage network with crafting integration
- Build a mob farm; half the pack's recipes want mob drops in quantity
- Scale power generation up a tier before you need it, not after
- Automate Mystical Agriculture essence early; it compounds like interest
Stage 4: Magic as a parallel path
The magic mods are not a detour, they are a parallel progression with rewards tech cannot give you. Ars Nouveau delivers custom spells and utility early, and Occultism's rituals and familiars solve problems that would take a warehouse of machines to match. Several endgame recipes expect progress in these mods, so weave them in during automation downtime rather than leaving them to the end.
Stage 5: The road to the ATM Star
The ATM Star is the pack's trophy: a single item whose recipe tree touches the endgame of essentially every major mod. By the time you start it you should have full Allthemodium-family gear, industrial-scale power and a storage system with autocrafting. The star is less a recipe than a checklist of everything the pack contains, and we break down how to attack it in our dedicated ATM Star guide.
Expect the star to take a serious number of sessions even with strong automation. That is the point: it is the pack's way of making you actually finish everything.
Progression on a server vs singleplayer
On SiriusMC the arc is the same but faster and more social: the economy and player shops let you trade around bottlenecks, claims keep your factory safe, and there is always someone in chat who has already solved the problem you are stuck on. Jump in, claim a spot, and start stage 0 tonight.
